Creative Evangelism: Ideas From Friends & Lessons From The Bible

JED Ministries is excited to announce the availability of a new book by Pastor Jed entitled Creative Evangelism: Ideas From Friends & Lessons From The Bible.

Creative Evangelism was born out of a motivation to tell the stories of how people Jed admired have pursued creative approaches to evangelism. “It is my hope that readers of this book will pray about and get involved in new and more creative ways of sharing the gospel. Prayerfully consider what ideas our Lord may give you to become more effective in sharing the Gospel with the lost.”

Creative Evangelism is available on Amazon in paperback, hardcover, and kindle e-book. If you would like a complementary copy, contact us and we will have a paperback copy sent to you.

The Names of God: Inspiring Awe and Homage

JED Ministries is excited to announce the availability of a new book by Pastor Jed entitled The Names of God: Inspiring Awe and Homage.

The Names of God was a series of sermons written and preached by Jed Snyder at various churches from 1990-2015. These sermons were the first time I recall hearing about God’s Names in the Old and New Testaments, and I was amazed at the insights it brought to the character of God. My wife and I continue to be blessed by other works that discuss God’s names, but this series of sermons will always be a special memory for me. The stories explored as the Names of God are reviewed are some of the most powerful in Scripture: Abraham and Isaac, Gideon, Joshua, Psalm 23, Moses, Ezekiel, and others.

The Names of God is available on Amazon in paperback, hardcover, and kindle e-book. If you would like a complementary copy, contact us and we will have a paperback copy sent to you.

Jedidiah N. Snyder (“Jed”) is home with Jesus.

Jedidiah N. Snyder (“Jed”) went home to Jesus on January 9, 2022 at age 77. He is already greatly missed.

Jed was born to Horace and Josephine Snyder on September 22, 1944 in Towanda, Pennsylvania. Along with his eight siblings, he moved with his father to Bolivia where he attended school through High School at the New Tribes Mission school in Cochabamba, Bolivia. His collegiate and graduate studies in Theology, Counseling, and Education helped shape his lifelong passion for Jesus and for ministering to others.

Jed met his wife, Betty in 1967 at Philadelphia College of Bible. They married two years later on May 17, 1969 and went on to have three children, Timothy (married to Melody), Rebekah (married to Troy), and Nathan. Jed’s work led them from Philadelphia to Syracuse, NY, Brattleboro, VT, Columbia, SC, and Lexington, MA, where many memories and friends were made. He was proud of his five granddaughters (and two others already in heaven), grandson, and great-granddaughter (who was especially good at making him smile).

Jed served in several pastoral roles, as hospital and hospice chaplain, personal counselor, pastoral mentor, professor, and author. Until his sudden illness, he served as pastor at Augusta Street Church, President of Jesus Every Day Ministries, and speaker at Three Rivers Behavioral. When not working, he loved caring for his garden and refinishing furniture.

A memorial service will be held at Augusta Street Church in West Columbia, SC at 10:00am, Saturday January 15. In lieu of flowers, the family is sure that Jed would prefer donations to Augusta Street Church or Jesus Every Day Ministries (www.jedministries.com).
