Marching Forward
God has been good to Jesus Every Day Ministries. The spiritual warfare that is being waged by some of the folks among whom we minister is great. But God is greater. It has been a source of joy and encouragement to be enlightened by the Holy Spirit regarding how to help people, especially as they deal with sin.
Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Galatians 6:1
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. James 5:16
Please consider the following:
Person A- the offender Person B-the offended

In this illustration, the two parties are following the Bible and seeking reconciliation.
Note that the offended person does not wait for the offender to come to him. He also initiates the reconciliation process.

In this illustration, the offended party does nothing, but the offender obeys Scripture and repents, seeking forgiveness and reconciliation.
A <--------------------------------B In this illustration, the offender does nothing, but the offended obeys Scripture and goes to the offender to seek to get him to admit the sin, repent, and become reconciled. The Bible places the responsibility for cleansing, and the spiritual power and insight that accompanies cleansing, on both parties to the sin. There is more to consider in regard to being cleansed from sin but if we apply these things we will be more likely to be aware of and be able to use and continue to develop our spiritual gifts.
